List the people you admire and look to for advice…
For the bigger questions in life, I turn to the highest authority. Why not asking the creator of all things, what the purpose of a specific thing is.
The downside is, that you can’t argue with God, because he is always right. Quite frustrating on occasions. Also frustrating, that They know, and I don’t know. And They not always tell me what I want to know, but tell me what I need to know, which is not the same. And not always pleasant.
For everything else I am deeply relying on my husband. Just because, he is not me. He has a different take on things, a different perspective. We have learned to value each other as complementary.
And that allows us as a couple to master some storms of life. When one is down, the other steadies the ship and keeps the course. Both of us have been at the helm, and have been down.
I am not always right, and neither is he. So both of us depend on the grace of God for the bigger things and need to practice forgiveness on a daily base. Our relationship is rooted in being in a friendship with our Father and living by the Spirit free from guilt by the blood of Jesus.
