How has a failure, or apparent failure, set you up for later success?
Seeing my first patient was very scary. I was very motivated to do good, but had actually no clue how to use the theory in practice.
Also, I was completely unaware of what I was missing: the skill how to connect with all the different ages, backgrounds and not least languages. I only knew “medical”.
So I struggled and my patients often ended up confused, frustrated or even angry.
But I continuosly wanted to improve the doctor-patient-relationship. And now, that is what I write about in my blog and talk about in my podcast.
Be aware, I have made all the mistakes myself, more than once. So that now I can share, how to do it better, without harming patients.
